Tobler Ceel was a Gungan male who served as the leader of the Gungan Grand Army and was the most experienced officer in its officer corps.[2] He fought during the Battle of Naboo against the Trade Federation on his homeworld of Naboo[1] in the year 32 BBY.[3] He was also a close friend and a former brother-in-arms of Boss Rugor Nass.[2] Ceel had purple and white skin as well as yellow eyes.[1]

Behind the scenes

Tobler Ceel first appeared in the early drafts of the script for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, but did not make it into the film itself.[4] The character first appeared in canon in the video game Star Wars: Force Collection.[1]
