The Time of Suffering was a long period of brutal infighting among the large city-states of humans that inhabited the planet Naboo. Eventually, a general named Jafan managed to end the war, uniting the opposing factions through both force of arms and force of will.[1] He became King Jafan, ruler of all the Naboo,[2] and ushered in the Great Time of Peace.[1]
