The Thugs of Thule were a infamous and highly educated mercenary gang that shared its name[1] with Thule, a planet in the Esstran sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[2] In 22 BBY,[3] Anj Rujj, a member of the gang, spent time in the Outlander Club in the Uscru District of the planet Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Thugs of Thule were mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. The image including the gang[1] was illustrated by Hans Jenssen[4] and was part of material reprinted[1] from the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which was written by Simon Beecroft and Curtis Saxton and marked the first mention of the group in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[5]
