Coruscant held the status of the throneworld of the Galactic Empire.
Throneworld,[1] alternatively spelled as throne world,[2] was a term used to refer to a world that served as the capital for a government.[1][3]
During the Imperial Era,[1] the Core Worlds planet of Coruscant held the status of the throneworld of the Galactic Empire. Following the Battle of Endor, the Grand Moff Lozen Tolruck considered the planet Kashyyyk to be a throneworld of the Imperial territory G5-623.[3]
By 35 ABY,[4] the Unknown Regions planet of Exegol was the throneworld of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious and the Sith Eternal.[5]
