Thobek was an obscure[3] terrestrial planet[4] situated in the Thobek system, a part of the Core Worlds' Farlax sector.[1] It was situated along the Widek Bypass, a hyperlane connecting[3] the planets[5][6] Orooturoo and Widek[3] in the Farlax sector.[7]
The Thobek language was spoken on Thobek and also on[4] the Widek Bypass[3] planet Wehttam.[4] Thobek was one of the stops taken by travelers journeying along the Widek Bypass between Orooturoo and Widek.[3]
Behind the scenes
Thobek was first mentioned in the 1998 reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia by Stephen J. Sansweet.[8] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Thobek system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square K-10.[2]
