The third moon of Concord Dawn was an astronomical body in the Concord Dawn system, and a moon of the shattered world of Concord Dawn. The Mandalorian Protectors, a group of Mandalorian warriors sworn to protect the system, established a base on the third moon.[5] After the Protectors attacked a rebel mission led by Hera Syndulla in 3 BBY, the rebels Kanan Jarrus and Sabine Wren attacked the Protectors' base and kidnapped their leader, Fenn Rau. Rau subsequently allowed the rebellion safe passage through the Concord Dawn system.[1]
A year later, Rau's rival Imperial Viceroy Gar Saxon and his Imperial Super Commandos launched an attack on the Protectors Camp in an effort to lure Rau out of hiding. Saxon had learnt about the Protectors' collaboration with the rebels and slaughtered Rau's followers. Rau, Sabine, and her fellow rebels Ezra Bridger and Chopper returned to the moon to investigate. After joining forces to escape Saxon, Rau decided to join the rebellion.[6]
