"Let me tell you what I think. I think you lied to Qilori of Uandualon and somehow managed to pass that same lie to the Grysk observers left behind on Sunrise. I think there are more than one of these Magysines. I think you've already found all of them. I think they're currently huddled together with you aboard your wrecked ship."
―Jixtus[1]

The Magysine was a fictitious Force-sensitive male of The Magys's species that Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo "Thrawn" created to confuse his enemy according to the enemy himself, the Grysk operative "Jixtus."[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] on the Unknown Regions planet Sunrise, Thrawn told Pathfinder navigator Qilori of the Magysine, which Jixtus believed had been relayed to two of his agents. Above the Sunrise system, Jixtus and Thrawn spoke through comm while each orbited Sunrise with their own warships, Thrawn's Nikardun blockade frigate Aelos, and Jixtus' Kilji war cruiser Whetstone.[1]

During their conversation, Thrawn confirmed that The Magysine were present aboard his ship, and Jixtus offered to trade the lifes of the ones aboard the Chiss starships accompanying the Aelos in exchange for The Magysine, which he believed existed multiple of. Thrawn rejected however, which resulted in a battle between Thrawn's and Jixtus's forces. After the battle ended—with Jixtus' defeat—Thrawn informed Jixtus that The Magysine indeed did not exist.[1]
