The Empire Strikes Back Storybook is a young readers adaptation of the 1980 film of the same name. The book was written by Shep Steneman and first published on April 12, 1980 by Random House.[1] It is illustrated with full-color photographs, including stills not featured in the film. The book featured a number of additional credits including Edward McGill as a production director and Roberta Pressel as an associate designer.[2]
In 1983, this book's paperback edition was sold with The Star Wars Storybook and Return of the Jedi: The Storybook Based on the Movie in a box set titled Star Wars Treasury.[6]
