The Claw piece hanging from a handlebar

The Claw was a trick game piece used in the Canto Pass game. The piece allowed a player to randomly pick up a boon from an opponent.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] a human engineer had acquired once such piece while she was in the city of Myrra on the Outer Rim planet Akiva.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the engineer gave the game piece to the scoundrel Kay Vess after she helped the engineer find a droidsmith to repair Pip-Squeak, the engineer's late son's MSE series droid.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Claw Canto Pass piece appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It was awarded to the player for completing the "Missing Toymaker" intel quest and was one of several Canto Pass pieces that could be collected in the game and used as trinkets to customize the appearance of the player's S57 Cardinal speeder bike and the interior of the Trailblazer.
