Teta was a human male duke[1] who was present outside[2] the Galaxies Opera House in the Uscru District of the planet Coruscant[3] in the year 19 BBY[4] during a performance of the opera Squid Lake.[3] The duke was walking alongside[2] Duchess Koyi Mateil[5] up the opera house's steps behind[2] the alien Opula Deget and the human Ulfor Bombaasa[1] when the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker ran past them on his way to meet with Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine.[2] Teta had fair skin and brown eyes. The duke wore a teal and mustard colored opera coat and headpiece while on Coruscant.[1]

Behind the scenes

Teta first appeared in the prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith,[2] which released on May 19, 2005.[6] The opera steps scene was filmed on R Stage at Shepperton Studios as part of additional photography on Monday, August 23, 2004.[7]

In the new Star Wars canon, the character was first named in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia.[1] The character's name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first used in the reference book Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars, which was written by Trisha Biggar[8] and released on October 11, 2005.[9]
