- "Was Tendo sharp? No. Bloody idiot. Was he a looker? Well, people looked alright. Fella was uglier than a shiverpede. But old Tendo had one thing worth more'n any of that: the bastard was plum lucky."
- ―Harr
Tendo Gugbridge was a prospector on the planet Koboh who found a cavern full of priorite after purchasing the worst claim in the region of Rambler's Reach Outpost. Filling his arms with the substance, Gugbridge was unable to see the floor beneath him and so was killed when he stepped on a detonite charge pack.
Biography
- "See ol' Tendo goes and buys the worst claim in the region. 'Bout as likely to find a payday there as in your breakfast. But not two days later, that rawka blasts his way into a cavern crawling with priorite."
- ―Harr
Tendo Gugbridge was a prospector who purchased a claim on the planet Koboh that had the lowest chance of containing priorite in the region of Rambler's Reach Outpost. However, two days after the purchase, Gugbridge blasted his way into a cavern containing a large amount of the substance. Filling his arms with priorite, Gugbridge could no longer see the ground beneath him and stepped onto his own detonite charge pack and died in the subsequent explosion. The other prospectors of the outpost, including Harr, split their dead colleague's find between them, which was enough that none of them needed to work for the rest of the month. They would then go on to remember that it was Gugbridge and his lucky tailbone that had brought the outpost its first big find.[2]
In 9 BBY,[1] Harr told the Jedi Knight Cal Kestis about Gugbridge's fate while sharing tales from old days of Koboh's prospecting community in Pyloon's Saloon in the outpost.[2]
Personality and traits
- "Well, Tendo fills his arms with the stuff – couldn't see the ground in front of him! Poor fool stepped right on his detonite charge pack. The blast turned his bones inside-out."
- ―Harr
Harr considered Gugbridge to be an old idiot who was uglier than a shiverpede, but claimed that his luck outweighed the importance of these traits. However, Gugbridge was foolish enough to step on his own detonite after discovering priorite.[2]
