- "The First Order, they came to our world. Started destroying everything. Our family, our friends—we escaped before they could get to us."
- ―Eila
The Tehar system was located in the Mid Rim Territories.[1] The star system was situated in grid square I-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid and contained[1] the planet Tehar.[2] In 34 ABY,[4] First Order forces led by[5] their leader[2] Kylo Ren attacked a village on Tehar. The human siblings Eila and Kel were the only survivors and escaped on a cargo starship,[5] eventually arriving at the Colossus refueling station on the planet Castilon[2] in the Mid Rim's Castilon system.[1] Later in 34 ABY,[4] the Tehar system was represented by a space in the board game Sector Set.[6] Aboard[7] the Purrgil-class starcruiser[2] Halcyon, the game was played by a group of passengers in the starcruiser's Atrium.[7]
Behind the scenes
The Tehar system was first mentioned on a map[8] designed by Christopher Ibbitt[9] that was created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines and given out as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim[10] on May 27, 2022[11] prior to the book's release during Celebration Europe[12] of April 7 through 10, 2023.[13] It was identified as the "Tehar system" in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[14]
