"Tax is especially displeasing, as you learned, Jecki. Nobody would work with him if they could stand doing otherwise."
―Sitia Arthyst to Jecki Lon[2]

Tax Revicine was a Silinese who,[2] in 134 BBY,[3] when they were between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five, participated in that year's Crowning Convocation. During their flight on a shuttle to the survival arena, spat on the ground in front of the participant Jecki Lon, who was a non-Silinese and Jedi Padawan, but before the situation could escalate further, Revicine was interrupted by another Silinese. During the ensuing survival level, Revicine worked as a team together with Jir and another dark citrine Silinese. Together they made camp on a basilic pillar after it had been abandoned by another group composed of Rhos and Sitia Arthyst, Lio Graf and the Jecki Lon and fellow Padawan Yord Fandar. Soon after, the three were attacked by the previous group with spore sacs. Jir frantically tried to throw down their ladder, but Revicine stumbled into him and fell down the pillar, whereby he almost took Jir with him. Once they all reached the bottom, Graf scared off Jir and the other Silinese and activated a flare for Revicine, signaling to the watching officials his elimination from the Convocation. Lon tried to offer Revicine some water as condolence, but was urged to leave by her companions.[2]

Personality and traits

Tax Revicine was a Silinese with pink facial crystals similar to quartz. He was shorter than most other Silinese, but was built like a giant astromech unit. He was antagonistic and rude to others and Sitia Arthyst observed that no one would work with him if they were able to manage on their own.[2]

Notes and references

  1. The events of The Acolyte: The Crystal Crown take place in 134 BBY per the following reasoning. The Acolyte: The Crystal Crown establishes that Jecki Lon is the Padawan of Sol and Yord Fandar has yet to undertake his Jedi Trials. The novel also states that Lon has been Sol's Padawan for at least two years, as well as that Sol had not taken a Padawan for years after his former Padawan, Verosha Aniseya, left the Jedi Order. From this, at least four years have passed since Aniseya left the Order. "Lost / Found"—the events of which take place in 132 BBY per the reasoning here—establishes Aniseya left the Order six years before its events, equating to 138 BBY. The episode further states Fandar passed his Jedi Trials two years before its events, meaning he must have passed his Trials in 134 BBY. As The Crystal Crown states that participants of the Crowning Convocations had to be between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five years old, Jir must have been born sometime between c. 149 BBY and 159 BBY.
