Jir was a male Silinese with garnet red facial crystals who,^[2] in 134 BBY,^[3] when they were between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five, participated in that year's Crowning Convocation. During the Convocation's survival level, Jir worked as a team together with Tax Revicine and another dark citrine Silinese. Together they made camp on a basilic pillar after it had been abandoned by another group composed of Rhos and Sitia Arthyst, Lio Graf and the Jedi Padawans Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar. Soon after, the three were attacked by the previous group with spore sacs. Jir frantically tried to throw down their ladder, but Revicine stumbled into him and fell down the pillar, whereby he almost took Jir with him, who was only able to save himself because he already had a hand twisted in the ladder. Once they all reached the bottom, Graf activated a flare for Revicine and scared off Jir and the other Silinese.^[2]
