The Taris shipyards were shipyards of the Galactic Empire active in the Taris system during the Galactic Civil War.[1] During or after 1 ABY,[4] the shipyard was servicing an incomplete Imperial-class Star Destroyer when the Rebel Alliance starfighter squadrons Blade Squadron and Rogue Squadron attacked the facility. Although the shipyard was accompanied by an Arquitens-class command cruiser and was defended by multiple TIE fighters, the shipyard was destroyed when the B-wing heavy assault starfighters dropped their bombs, resulting in multiple large explosions.[1]
