A targeting sensor, also known as a Target-Acquiring Sensor[2] was a type of sensor, generally mounted on starships as part of the vessel's targeting package. It could be installed into a droid chassis.
Targeting sensors aboard the T-65 X-wing starfighter could track up to one thousand moving sublight objects and acquire up to twenty bogeys simultaneously. At the pilot's command, the targeting sensors transferred data to the targeting computer via a shielded circuit multiplexer.[1]
Atgar SpaceDefense Corporation's 1.4 P-Tower had its targeting sensors located at the apex of the high energy dish.[2]
