Grid placement
Why is L-18 being considered an error when it's in the most recent sources? K-18 is the error. - TLM86 21:51, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Latest source is a factor, but is not the only factor. Here, and on other astrographical articles that I have written up and successfully brought to status, I give precedence to what maps show us, instead of what non-graphical lists tell us. And while we're here, going forward please refrain from 1) making significant changes to a status article without consulting its original nominator where possible, and 2) reverting said nominator's edits, again without consulting them first. - So why do you give precedence to maps, then? Graphical maps can't possibly contain errors that non-graphical lists subsequently and consistently correct? If so, there's plenty of other articles that need changing to obey mistakes on maps. - TLM86 21:52, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- Of course maps can contain errors. What I am saying is that, in cases where there are no other significant reasons to believe that a map is in error, it makes more sense to me to defer to what a map tells us because it relays a more interconnected chunk of Star Wars lore than any single Appendix/Online Companion grid square entry. And when I say "other significant reasons," to me the fact that the Online Companion was released after the Atlas isn't necessarily one. It's not like the Online Companion hasn't contained a number of errors over time. Imperators II(Talk) 08:13, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
