Canon or Legends?
Which continuity do you think FOTOR will be part of? General Khor (talk) 03:50, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- Most likely canon. If so, it will be our first look into the Old Republic in canon too.—Vuvalan

- It's part of the Old Republic franchise, so most likely Legends. Some people will read too much into the "not a direct continuation" statement, but that doesn't mean "separate continuity". After all, it's a story with new characters set centuries later. It reminds me of when Gal Gadot said Wonder Woman 1984 is "not a sequel" to Wonder Woman and people thought that meant reboot.
Granted, it isn't impossible that it's canon, but I don't think it's likely either. Pablo Hidalgo mentioned wanting the canon era to look "more ancient" than Knights of the Old Republic at one point and George Lucas' concept of that era was a lot different from Legends, with the Sith ruling the galaxy as feudal lords. Some of Lucas' concepts have made it into Disney Canon, such as the Sith conquerers being mentioned in The Acolyte Visual Guide and Darth Bane being a ruler in samurai armor who was entombed on Moraband. Really, though, I just don't think Lucasfilm is ready to explore the Old Republic era yet, especially in a video game.
We'll know officially at some point, though. Darkknight2149 (talk) 07:29, 12 December 2025 (UTC) - Article talk pages are for discussing the article itself, not the subject of the article. Please mind the banner at the top of this page. Master Fredcerique

- I think that this is relevant for discussing the page due to things like which articles we connect it to. For instance- do we put in the legends sith fighter article that it appears here, or do we make a canon article for the sith fighter? BearInsanity (talk) 16:30, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- I agree, it's relevant for categorization. The simple answer to OP's question is "TBA". Darkknight2149 (talk) 17:39, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- Two things: 1) while yes, it is relevant to the page, the way the question was asked “do you think” is a query on what other people think, not a question on which continuity the game should be treated on the page. This is what masterfred is trying to point out, as a question to other people on their thoughts is not the purpose of talk pages. Masterfred was not saying the relevance of asking such a question about the page is wrong. 2) As discussed on this discord server, we are not classifying the game as legends or canon yet, as per a recent Pablo Hidalgo bluesky, Lucasfilm itself has not yet decided if the game will be canon or legends yet. This means no page should be created for the interdictor for canon yet, and no appearances should be added to the page either (keep in mind the trailer itself is mostly just a proof of concept as many have pointed out).
