When did the Republic actually reset the date? In 1000 BBY or later? -- Riffsyphon1024 05:57, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • The article is a bit misleading. After the Battle of Ruusan and the Reformation, the Republic began to date years from this event until the Great Resynchronization when they started counting years again. (And later the New Republic decided to adopt the BBY/ABY system. QuentinGeorge 05:59, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
    • But I ask when the event itself happened. It's for the year article. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:03, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
      • The Reformation happened not long after the Battle, so 1000 BBY is near enough. QuentinGeorge 06:06, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Behind the scenes

What do you guys think of a comparison (just a quick mentioning) between the RR and the similar thing that happened in England in the 19th century? Gustafar 20:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

We could also mention the irony that Palpatine technically undid the Ruusan Formation when he came to power by giving himself more power and then later disbanded the senate. Admiral/Ambassador Paul 10:44, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Where's the irony in that? Palpatine never claimed otherwise.

Phantom Menace

How it's mentioned in the movie? --Goodmind (talk) 17:27, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

Had a few people look at this and removed for unsourced, though belatedly. If anyone re-adds should be verified or explained out.spookywillowwtalk 01:37, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

Pre-reformation spaceships

Pre-reformation ships were many times bigger and stronger than after-reformation ones (due to the armament restrictions placed on the shipbuilders by the Ruusan Reformation). Ripper rifles were many times stronger than blasters, and ships of old times were multiple-kilometers long mountains of guns. So, to make the article better, we want to have links to all pre-Reformation weaponry and vehicles. --109.62.160.129 21:07, 18 January 2025 (UTC)
