Mon Cala

Why is it referred to here as merely Mon Cala, when its proper name would be Mon Calamari? Mon Cala is more of an abbreviation for Mon Calamari anyway, so it seems to me that the page title should be moved. Darth Ravigious (talk) 02:05, April 11, 2016 (UTC)

  • To my knowledge, Mon Calamari has never been referred to as its full canonical name. It's always been Mon Cala, stemming from The Clone Wars. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 04:45, April 11, 2016 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I remember that is what it was always referred to in the Clone Wars arc. The Databank lists it as Mon Cala and Mon Calamari though, but Mon Cala is the title of Databank article itself. Darth Ravigious (talk) 05:50, April 11, 2016 (UTC)
      • Also, Aftermath always says "Mon Calamari", never "Mon Cala".Geek'ari (talk) 13:52, April 11, 2016 (UTC)
        • That's one book vs many other sources. The Databank says, "Also known as Mon Calamari or Dac, Mon Cala is..." - showing that its primary name is Mon Cala. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 14:04, April 11, 2016 (UTC)
          • I'm not using "Mon Cala". We really need to change the name back to "Mon Calamari", "Cala" is merely a shortened version. 2:22 PM; April 3, 2018 Ghost of LucasArts (talk)
            • No pretty much every source uses Mon Cala, even the Star Wars and current Darth Vader comic arcs (which are both set on Mon Cala) use Mon Cala. There's no reason to change the name --Lewisr (talk) 18:26, April 3, 2018 (UTC)
