Trainer 2

As a bit of speculation, this guy could be Markre Medjev. --Eyrezer 23:16, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Maybe if he's cloned yes. When I played Outcast again, I realized there were more of him/them KEJ 07:31, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
    • Why, they have nothing in common. MoffRebus 08:18, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
      • The eyebrows maybe? :-/ KEJ 08:24, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
        • Well for one, Markre is about the only Jedi we know who has long hair, as does the Jedi trainer. --Eyrezer 09:56, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
          • Markre is Jamaican in style and physiology. The trainer is white MoffRebus 10:05, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
            • The fact that there are more completely identical trainers in Outcast also makes the Markre-hypothesis quite unlikely. KEJ 10:15, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
              • The pic of Markre is not in colour. You cannot tell his skin pigmentation from it. You are only infering he is not white. Can anyone get a pic of the trainer front-on? About the "clone" idea. If you went with that it would exclude any identification whatsoever. (Keep in mind, that this is purely speculation of course. I'm not suggesting the model was intended to be Markre.) --Eyrezer 01:17, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
                • The clone idea was more of an ironic reference to the crazy amount of cloning of various central characters going on in the Star Wars universe these days. KEJ 08:02, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
                  • lol --Eyrezer 08:40, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
  • The Jedi trainers are stronger than Luke and Kyle? That doesn't sound right.

And also, it appears that the trainer is meant to be one guy in Academy, but it's not clear. There were only many of them in Outcast because they hadn't perfected the gaming engine that allowed for different characer appearance. Furthermore, in Outcast there are several copies of the Jedi student, but he is considered to be a single character in Academy. User:Bredd13/sig

    • We need some retconning here. It would be nice if someone would bother to come up with some backstories for the JK characters. KEJ 09:21, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Rank?

I thought that Jedi Trainer's rank was Jedi Knight in JO and then Jedi Master within JA. What's the deal him attaining the rank of Jedi Knight if he was already one in JO? Think logically on this question. Obi-Wan Kenobody Era-njo (Cone of Silence) 06:44, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

  • Um, I think you've made a mistake somewhere...you say that he was a Knight in JO, and then a Master in JA, then you ask how he could be a Knight in JA...Where's it even said that he was "attaining" the rank of Knight (or any other for that matter) in JA? He's a trainer, he oversees the training of other Jedi (or Jedi students, if we need be more specific); we can, however, say that he's either a Knight or a Master, because in the JA academy cutscenes he's shown alongside the Jedi Master(s) and Kyle characters. Perhaps you were referring to the Jedi and Jedi2 characters who were seen as students in JO, and then again, in JA?--Fekyu (talk) 18:00, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

An instructor at the rank of Jedi Knight?

Well, I just did some research on how a Jedi becomes an instructor. It holds true even to Jedi of the New Jedi Order. A Jedi must be a Jedi Master in order to be an instructor. Can he now be classified as a Jedi Master if he was by fact an instructor during the Empire Reborn crisis? Obi-Wan Kenobody Era-njo (Cone of Silence) 21:08, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

  • What is the source for the assertion that a Jedi has to be a Master to be an instructor? Imperators II(Talk) 21:11, April 19, 2011 (UTC)
    • Here is the source. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_instructor Obi-Wan Kenobody Era-njo (Cone of Silence) 05:00, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
      • First, please remember that Wookieepedia is not a source. Second, there is no indication on that article that in the New Jedi Order only Jedi Masters were given the title. Imperators II(Talk) 10:07, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
        • Jedi Masters should be the only instructors. Because they have more experience dealing with Padawans than Knights that are fresh out of the oven. The Battlemasters of both the old and new Jedi Order were the ones that picked the best of the best to be instructors. I don't know why a brand new Jedi Knight or a newish Jedi should be an instructor. The job of an instructor calls for experience. :| Obi-Wan Kenobody Era-njo (Cone of Silence) 20:25, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
          • Yeah, but considering that the Order had to be rebuilt, Luke'd probably give Knights more responsibilities. That being said, where's it sourced that the trainer is a Knight? And why would you need to be a Master to oversee students train their Force abilities or saber combat? The way I see it, a Master is one who focuses on the philosophical teaching, rather than just skill training, though that's just me...--Fekyu (talk) 18:06, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

Obi-wan Kenobody, your personal private opinion on what should and what shouldnt be canon... does not magically bend the universe and cause it to distort and change to match your opinion. If you place more stock in your personal opinions over the officially licenssed star wars material I suggest you not edit here. ralok (talk) 18:21, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

Saber and fighting style

In Jedi Academy Multiplayer, his bot wields a yellow-bladed staff-saber. Should we add a "lightsaber training" category or something? Does it even count as some sort of behind the scenes canon?--92.114.148.141 17:35, April 10, 2015 (UTC)
