Section 1
- I have updated the Appearance and physiology section and the introduction (and added an image). I hope that this is ok with everybody. I will update the rest of the article soon -- Volemlock 20:22, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- sounds great, this is another of those articles that needs alot of work. Jedi Dude 20:24, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Kudos to you! It's about time we updated the Gamorreans. The rest of us will help out if we can! White bishop 03:04, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed, great update. I think two or three sentences are left from the big update I did a week ago, but I love the way it is now. And all the pictures! Enochf 03:08, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your support. I still have a few things to add. Can anybody help me with a good quote for this article. Any suggestions? -- Volemlock 16:48, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Behind the scenes
- I know it isn't very important but I changed the bit where it mentions that the sith spawn are shown from it saying wookiee to saying Thisspiasian as the link above it goes to a page where it lists them and it looks like and says in the text underneath neath that it is a Thisspiasian.Garadex using the force since 19bby 11:16, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
Images
- I have replaced this image with this image from Ultimate Alien Anthology -- Volemlock 16:18, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- Any way you can get a hold of an image from Star Wars Racer Revenge, specifically the Watchtower Run racecourse on Gamorr? Would be good. Most illustrations of Gamorr are B&W. Enochf 10:29, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
The new pics look awesome! White bishop 15:36, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- I put in a scroll box and so had to remove a couple of pics: Gamorrean Guard Concept2.jpg and File:Gmmrns.png. I'll put them here for safe keeping at the mo. --Eyrezer 23:21, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Quote
- I think it would be nice to have a quote for this article. Can anybody help. -- Volemlock 16:56, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Some of the Gamorrean thugs in KOTOR had translations in subtitles. You could try one of those. The ones that ambush you on Tatooine or the pod racer on Manaan. Enochf 17:03, 4 August 2006 (UTC) (roommates kept the Xbox when I moved out, though)
- I tried my best. This is the best I could find in my gamorrean collection. Hope it works as a good quote. --jabbathehuttgartogg
- The best quote I have seen. Many thanks. -- Volemlock 16:04, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Dead Links
We've got an awful lot of red links on this page, I think our next project for the Gamorreans should be to fix all these links and really make this article great! Don't get me wrong, I think we have come MILES on improving this page, I just think we should fine tune it a bit. White bishop 16:02, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree! I am going to try and do a few each day. Any help would be very much appreciated. -- Volemlock 17:20, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Gamorreans in the Galaxy
- Should the entries for Hutts and "Piggy" not be under the Gamorreans in the Galaxy section? -- Volemlock 09:24, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- Think about it "In the Galaxy".Where lse would you put them? --Jabbathehuttgartogg

"The Hutts" paragraph
If you ask me, I feel that section could use significant improvement, especially the final sentences. The writer seems to have an extremely difficult time connecting the various Hutts to their corresponding Gamorreans; one such example is the following:
"Another Hutt was Jabba's rival, Gardulla the Hutt. She employed Gamorreans, even before Jabba. Unlike Jabba's alleged nine, Gardulla had about five times the amount. Tragically, almost none of those Gamorreans survived after Jango Fett infiltrated Gardulla's Palace."
This section right here stays with the intentioned thesis of the paragraph, but it's been broken off by several sentences when the writer could have clearly made a longer and stronger combination. In my belief the following could be done to make this section better: "Another Hutt that employed Gamorreans was Jabba's rival, Gardulla the Hutt; she employed Gamorreans at a rate five times more than Jabba would ever reach. Tragically, nearly all of those employed Gamorreans would be killed after Bounty Hunter Jango Fett infiltrated Gardulla's Palace."
This second section, immediately after the first, is perhaps even more needing of improvment:
"Wartogg was one of the many Gamorrean guards who Jabba put prices on following the capture of Longo Two-Guns. Gardulla was killed and the Gamorreans that survived were never heard from again. Grappa the Hutt had only one known Gamorrean. His name was Tront who, like most of his kind, loathed droids. He ran off with his partner Sol Mon and the gang when Rebels came to Grappa's palace. Other Hutts, like Ka'Pa, also had a few Gamorreans in their employment."
As you can see, it seems the writer inserted the first sentence before it was meant to, because immediately afterward, they add in another mention of Gardulla, which is completely unrelated to the new topic of this Wartogg, who was related to Jabba the Hutt. In my opinion, that first sentence should be inserted with the information regarding Jabba's Gamorrean guards, and allow the second sentence to come immediately after the first section. The rest of the section could also use improvement, such as the following:
"Other employers of Gamorrean guards included Grappa the Hutt and Ka'Pa."
Considering you didn't go into details about Grappa the Hutt, there's no reason to include details of Tront, who not only seems unnecessary, but the information on him isn't even explained using the event that was occuring. His gang? What does that mean? What was going on, why'd he run off with his "partner"? IF you're going to include a subject, you need to include details.
Either way, I feel that should be taken into consideration. I feel this article needs to be cleaned up significantly, but considering I'm not a registered member, I can't flag it.
- Gamorreans are Gamorreans and its members should be mentioned in this article. Hutts are a big part of gamorrean labor and I put as much info. as I could into that. --Jabbathehuttgartogg

Famous members
- Can someone with a great knowledge of the Gamorrean's cut the list down a bit, it's a little long. Jasca Ducato 20:11, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Was Were etc
Are they extinct?
"Gamorreans were porcine humanoids"

Is it just me, or have Gamorreans evolved from pigs? —Unsigned comment by SWME (talk • contribs)
- Well, they didn't evolve from Earth pigs, but they probably evolved from a pig-like creature. -LtNOWIS 22:24, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Infobox image
- I have reverted the infobox image from the NEGAS image back to an image from the movies (G Canon?). I think that since this image is full length and taken from movie props (Source: Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary) it should be used in preference. This discussion was also had when the article was up for featured article status and it was thought that this image was better than a drawn one in these circumstances. I do not necessarily think that a image from a movie (could be a poor image only showing a head) should always be used in preference to a more complete representation of a species atributes from other sources but in this case I think the original image should be used. -- Volemlock 19:03, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- Rodtheanimegod4ever, just because the other articles use the NEGAS does not mean that another one should not be used if it is more appropriate. Perhaps we should get the opinion of others before we change this picture permanently. I have started a topic at the Senate Hall so that we can get a consensus. Rodtheanimegod4ever please could you add your vote as appropriate.

- It's been an unwritten rule, at least for articles on other subjects, that a live-action photo or movie frame of sufficient quality is preferred to any drawn or painted picture as the main picture for an article. —Silly Dan (talk) 21:37, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

I vote for the original image, ONLY IF the NEGAS image gets placed elsewhere in the article. Possibly to replace one of the black at white sketches which are far less quality than the NEGAS one. - JMAS 18:55, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- We can swop the images over as they stand now. -- Volemlock 18:58, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with JMAS. The NEGAS image shouldn't be the main image, but it should be in the article. - Yoshi626 19:54, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think File:Gorge_&_Greel.jpg in the article would be a good candidate to replace with the NEGAS image. - JMAS 20:08, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- But the NEGAS image adds no information to the article not already given by the other pictures of big armoured Gamorreans with axes. Gorge & Greel's pic shows an interesting variation in Gamorrean body types and costumes. —Silly Dan (talk) 21:39, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree the NEGAS image is essential the same picture as the live action image above. I was a bit disappointed when I first saw the image from NEGAS -- Volemlock 22:13, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I kinda prefer the NEGAS one. It got a kind of Warcraft feeling to it. It would be nice to have both images in the article like they are now. --Pi314 19:34, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- On the Gorge & Greel pic. What is with Greel? Come on, an anorexic Gamorrean? - JMAS 19:56, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- I've put it back to the original picture as this vote seemed pretty conclusive. Green Tentacle (Talk) 13:23, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Way To Go!
Well guys, I think we've done great work with this article. Over the months this article has grown from a very small stub to it's present status as a featured article! Great job everyone! White bishop 17:12, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Gamorreans at podrace...
Does anyone know when Jabba recruited Gamorreans? I think it would be interesting to see them in his box at Boonta Eve in Ep1...
- Jabba sent Han to recruit his Gamorrean guards, so it would have been between Episodes 3 and 4.--Lord OblivionSith holocron30px 08:38, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- I guess they could've been at docking bay 94 though... I wonder when Jabba found Salacious...
Pre-Industrial?
The first paragraph states that Gamorreans are pre-industrial with a technology level equal to that of humans 25,000 years before the Battle of Yavin. That doesn't make much sense to me. That is the time of humans like Xim, who had interstellar fleets and war droids. That is hardly "pre-industrial". That same paragraph goes on to describe Gamorreans as having colonized other worlds, and as having their own spacecraft. Granted these aren't described as the best, but can any society with spacecraft (let alone ones with shields and weapons) be described as "pre-industrial"? --OuroborosCobra 17:48, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Question
Does anyone have any Idea on how long these guys live (assuming they die of natural causes)?
sow details
If I remember correctly Children of the Jedi mentioned that female of the species had six breasts. In the "jungle lust" club or something like that?SargeLIVES 02:09, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- That was an error. Clearly all artwork depicts both sow and boar with two breasts or nipples. Barbara Hambly made quite a few mistakes in Children of the Jedi. I believe she confused the Gamorrean race with the Askajian race. -- Frank V Bonura 13:49, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
Jedi Brutes
Isn't it possible that jedi brutes from the ROTS video game are gamorreans? I think that the possibility should be stated on the page. Stuart98 Rocks! Subscribe for niceness! 06:53, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
