Move to Fixer (clone commando)?
A discussion for moving Fixer's legends page is being heard concurrently at Talk:RC-1140/Legends
Currently, this article sits at the page name "RC-1140" because of the following passage from Join the Battle: "Fixer is quiet, grim, and so focused on following regulations that he uses his comrades' operating numbers during missions." However, the vast majority of clone trooper content treats the clones as preferring their chosen names. All the same, the clone name policy was written with the intention of working with clones who prefer their number, so we should not assume. However, this passage from Join the Battle specifically notes that Fixer feels this way during missions, so one could argue it is speculation to assume he would feel as such during causal discussion. Move to Fixer (clone commando)
EDIT: Votes will now be held on CT. Editoronthewiki (talk) 19:36, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
Gotta be honest, I have to vote in moving to his name. Fixer feels this way during missions, that is a descriptor specifically placed in the passage to set this quirk of his in context: it isn't all the time, its just while on the job. Much like the Empire only caring about Cody's number, but we know so much more context about Cody that comes from off the clock and non-Imperial duty. - Simply using his clone identifying unit during operations doesn't mean that's his identity. He takes his missions more professionally. Like if I had a PhD, my friends would still call me my name but in my career I'd be Dr. Infinitus for example --Vitus InfinitusTalk 19:24, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- The mere fact that the sentence start, "Fixer is quiet," instead of "RC-1140 is quiet," is also a reason it should be moved. Per Editor, using his squad's numbers is mission-specific. - JMAS
