Unwarranted Assumptions
The article is leaping to conclusions RE: how Malak relates to the Sith Emperor. The latest TOR timeline video gave us absolutely no indication that Malak was apprenticed to the Emperor. We know he (ostensibly) served him, certainly, but that's not the same thing as being told he was the guy's apprentice. Additionally, the timeline video did not tell us that it was the Emperor who caused the pair to fall to the dark side, either. In fact, it made it categorically clear that Revan, at least, had already fallen prior to the encounter. Uli Talk 00:22, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm. If I can remember correctly, the video by Daniel Erickson a few months ago seemed to indicate that Malak, along with Revan, was the Sith Emperor's apprentice. I'll have to review the video, but I'm pretty sure it did make it clear that the Sith Emperor made Revan fall.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 00:27, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
- OK, I looked at it, and the dialogue says that Revan and Malak went back to the Republic on behalf of "their Sith Master."--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 02:47, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm going with what Revan says which is that Vitiate had mind controlled both Revan and Malak into turning to the Dark Side —Unsigned comment by 173.88.15.20 (talk • contribs)
Sith Magnus
What can we assume this means?--—Unsigned comment by 68.8.228.213 (talk • contribs)
- Well, the article already states that the rank is canon, but Abel G. Peña could not discuss what it meant. And we cannot speculate about its meaning on this site.—Jedi Kasra (comlink) 08:07, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
Malak's Corruption
Okay, The Old Republic: Revan has me confused. According to our previous information, Revan corrupted Malak after Revan encountered Malachor V, and then the two went to go look for the Sith Empire. But the book says that the two were not corrupted until Vitiate broke them and turned them to the dark side. I'm more inclined to believe the novel, because it's a lot more likely that they went hunting for the Sith and tried to kill the Emperor because they were Jedi, and they were trying to defend the Republic.
