| When he was killed, Jacen was known as Darth Caedus. Per the policies of this site, this is what his page is named as well.
If you want to debate that naming policy, feel free to do so on a dedicated Senate Hall topic. If you want to debate whether he was redeemed, please do so in a calm and respectful manner. This means presenting a reasoned case based on a source. |
I really think the "Darth Caedus" page should be re-titled "Jacen Solo"
I can see that this topic has been debated more than once over the years, but it really bothers me that Jacen Solo's page is titled "Darth Caedus." LotF: Invincible specifically has Jaina say that Jacen came back at the end, much like Vader became Anakin again before he died. I'm also currently reading FotJ" Abyss where Luke and Ben talk to Jacen's spirit, and while the nature of the vision is vague, Luke says he believes they were actually talking to their loved ones. On a practical note, making the page title "Darth Caedus" immediately spoils that Jacen becomes a Sith Lord if someone just does a quick google search on him, whereas they'd have to click on the page and scroll down to see this if it was titled "Jacen Solo." Anakin was Darth Vader for half his life but he gets to be called Anakin Skywalker. Jacen was a Sith Lord for the last year of his life and is labeled based on his Sith identity. Doesn't really make sense to me.—Unsigned comment by 104.48.173.91 (talk • contribs)
- I happen to agree. While I think Jaina’s opinion isn’t accurate, since the ghost is referred to as Jacen by the narrative and seems to think of himself as Jacen, I think the page should reflect that due to the extraordinary post-death displays of personality the character has, despite how he died.SaintSirNicholas (talk) 22:34, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
