Casualties

It's been awhile since I've read these, but Fel is certainly not a casualty since he's alive later on. Further, how can an entire planet be considered a casualty (Imperial superweapons of the week not included) ? Vryce 04:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

  • It's a common misconception that "casualty" means "death". See wikipedia:casualty. As a military term, it actually means persons killed, injured, captured, physically or mentally disabled, or deserted. Seeing as the planet was captured from the Empire, it may or may not constitute a casualty depending on how much you stretch the word. However, seeing as Fel’s fighter was disabled and he was captured, he is definitely a casualty. Wildyoda 04:13, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
    • Okay, I'll grant you the former, but that latter... Unless you wish to insert the planets into nearly every major battle, I think it's a bit excessive to keep. Vryce 04:14, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
      • Actually I personally agree with you. It's both excessive and stretches the meaning of the word to the fullest. I say it goes. Wildyoda 04:18, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

similarities to Gerrard V

anybody notice that this battle is identical to the battle of brentaal IV? the planet names are similar, the Y-wings disabling yachts escaping with the planets wealth, and a high ranking tie pilot captured by ion cannon at the end. Coincidence??
