Tal was a member of the Riftwalkers pirate gang during the Republic Era. Under the gang's leader, Zilastra, Tal and fellow Riftwalker Krins boarded the captured freighter Morleen after it had been transported to the Riftwalker Compound on the planet Keldooine. The two were killed by the freighter's owner, whom they had expected would surrender, and their deaths were reported to Zilastra by her second-in-command, Burlug.[2]
