Taborr's helmet was a helmet worn by the pirate Taborr Val Dorn during the High Republic Era. Its primary purpose was to conceal Val Dorn's true identity as the Prince Cyrus Vuundir of Vuundalla.

Description

Taborr's helmet was a personalized helmet owned by the pirate Taborr Val Dorn. The helmet was primarily grey with a red viewplate that allowed Val Dorn to see his surroundings.[1]

History

During the High Republic Era,[3] the pirate Taborr Val Dorn used this helmet, along with other equipment, to hide his true identity as the Prince of Vuundalla.[2]

Vuundir stored the helmet in his backpack when he accompanied his family to the Dedication of the Starlight Beacon. He later donned the helmet in order to attempt to steal the Starlight Beacon Dedication plaque.[2]

Later, the helmet was discovered by the Jedi youngling Kai Brightstar inside a locker in Vuundir's workshop, making Vuundir's secret identity known to Brightstar.[4]

During the showdown at Yarrum Tower, Val Dorn voluntarily unmasked himself in front of [the Ganguls, demanding that the pirate gang return the crown jewels they had stolen from his family's palace.[4]

After the battle, Brightstar told Vuundir that he did not have to be a pirate, as everyone knew his true identity. Vuundir stared down at his helmet in contemplation for a few moments before ultimately redonning the helmet, choosing to continue life as a pirate. He then returned to where EB-3 and Pord were waiting for him, once again pulling off his helmet.[4]
