The TIE/fc, or Fire Control, was a model of reconnaissance TIE fighter series starfighter that was used by the Galactic Empire. It was a variant from the base TIE/ln space superiority starfighter by fitting the standard model's fuselage with specialized equipment.[1]
Behind the scenes
The TIE/fc was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "TIE Fighters," an issue of De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia line[1] that was released on March 23, 2021.[2] The TIE/fc starfighter originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity with The Star Wars Sourcebook, a 1987 West End Games Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game sourcebook authored by Bill Smith and Peter M. Schweighofer.[3]
