Syngia Station was a minor spaceport in the Sertar sector in the Outer Rim Territories. Penn Zarang, an Imperial cadet at the Arkanis Academy, grew up on Syngia Station. During the early years of the Galactic Empire, a gang of Zygerrian enslavers docked at the spaceport for repairs before enslaving the local population and killing the rest. Zarang survived by hiding in a maintenance conduit, but his father was killed. Meanwhile, his mother died en route to Zygerria. The incident convinced Zarang to enroll in an Imperial Academy.[1]
