The Suurja system was located in the Ojoster sector, a part of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] It was situated in grid square N-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Suurja system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[3] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via "The Taris Holofeed: Prime Edition," a representation of an issue of the in-universe Taris Holofeed news publication that was written by John Jackson Miller and published by Dark Horse Comics in the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic/Rebellion flip-book[4] on March 1, 2006.[5]
