The Supreme Court was the highest court of law in the Judicial Department of the Galactic Republic.[2] The Supreme Court tried Nute Gunray, the Viceroy of the Trade Federation, on four separate occasions for his actions in launching the Invasion of Naboo,[1] but Gunray avoided imprisonment and remained Viceroy of the Trade Federation.[3]
