The Starshine Special[1] was a yellow[2] beverage famously made by the human bartender Bufon Taire at the Outlander Club in the Uscru Entertainment District of the planet Coruscant. While working at the club during the reign of the Galactic Republic, Taire sometimes treated patrons he knew, or who were with the right people, to the drink.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Starshine Special was pictured in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary, New Edition.[2] It was then identified in "Coruscant," a part of De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia series[1] released on February 9, 2021.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the "starshine special" was first mentioned as an additive in the reference book Star Wars: Attack of the Clones: The Visual Dictionary, which was written by David West Reynolds[4] and released on April 23, 2002[5] The book identified a prop from the set of the film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones as the "starshine special,"[4] although the prop is not visible in the film itself.[6]
