A starpilot license,[2] also known as a piloting license,[3] or as a pilot's license,[4] was a type of license produced by the Bureau of Ships and Services[1] issued to Pilots. During the time of the Galactic Republic, unauthorized use of Republic Military Skylanes on Coruscant would result in the revocation of the pilot's license.[2] During the reign of the Galactic Empire, pilots had to maintain standard to keep their license. If they failed, pilots found themselves charged with a Class Five infraction under the Imperial Penal Code. A common punishment for Class Three infractions under the penal code was the revocation of a pilot's Starpilot license.[3]
