Star Wars Battlefront: Mobile Squadrons is the fourth installment of the Battlefront series and the first one released exclusively on the cell phone. It was announced on January 2009 and released in the U.S. on April 2, 2009.

Mobile Squadrons is a shooter-based game that is coupled with interactive community action on cell phones.
The player gets to choose to be a member of the Galactic Republic or Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, or a member of the Rebellion or Empire during the Galactic Civil War. There are 3 classes to choose from. They are: The trooper (versatile), the sharpshooter (precise), or the heavy weapons trooper (damage).
The game features a unique online component where the player can log onto THQ's website and view their stats, and the stats of their faction or other players.
