The Squall Spider,[5] also simply known as the Spider,[7] was a Nihil Spider Cruiser which operated during the High Republic Era. Commanded by Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro, the starship was involved in the Nihil attack on Trymant IV, damaging a Galactic Republic medical frigate to escape into hyperspace.[2] The Squall Spider was later instrumental in Ro's escape from Quantxi during a battle there, seizing the smaller starship Ro had initially been departing on in its mechanical legs in order to escape the telekinetic grasp of several Jedi who were attempting to pull it back to the ground.[5]
Ro later traveled aboard the Squall Spider to the planet Rystan. The vessel was piloted by the Force-sensitive Talortai navigator Udi Dis through the Rystan Badlands.[7]
