Spine spiders were a species of spider native to the desert planet Pasher. The spiders possessed poison glands which had medical applications. Fayet Kelen chose to set up his business, Kelen Biolabs, locally on Pasher where he made large amounts of money from the medical applications of spine spider poison glands, as well as the glands of sandstone scorpions.[1]
