Sperin was a planet[3] in the Bajic sector of the Outer Rim Territories, near the Vergesso Asteroids.[2]
It was the secret headquarters of the Natori Association[3][5][1], which was a regional agency of the Tenloss Syndicate.[5] Worked from a base on Sperin, the Natori Association constituted a loose collective of ex-military personnel who banded together to train mercenaries for hire.[3] During the Galactic Civil War, this company had a large proportion of non-humans in its ranks, making it a suspicious entity in the eyes of the Galactic Empire, but the company was tolerated since it had not yet come into conflict with Imperial forces in a significant way. Unlike other elements of the Tenloss Syndicate, Natori maintained neutrality toward the Alliance in an attempt to keep the Imperials from focusing attention on the Association.[5]
Behind the scenes
Sperin was introduced in the Galaxy Guide 11: Criminal Organizations sourcebook (1994) for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. In this source, as in the subsequent ones, the physical description of the planet Sperin was never considered, and everywhere it was mentioned only as the location of the Natori Association base.
