"Hunting the Hunters" is a short story published in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine 6, and later on Hyperspace. It was written by Bill Smith and illustrated by Omaha Pérez.
Plot summary
Nariss Siv Loqesh apprehends a Bothan quarry when his expeditor, a Bimm named Crote, receives word that the Empire has invited Loqesh to join the bounty hunters hired to track down the Millennium Falcon. Loqesh declines – he doesn’t do work for the Empire – and goes into hiding to avoid Imperial reprisal.
Continuity
The brief story suggested that it took place on the planet Garnib without explicitly stating so, but Breil'lya commented that the planet is very hot – which is not a characteristic of frigid Garnib.[2]
