A sour berry sweet was a type of sweet edible by humans. During the High Republic Era, the human Jedi Master Douglas Sunvale and the human scientist Avon Starros were both stationed at the outpost Port Haileap on the Outer Rim planet Haileap. At one point, Sunvale carried a sour berry sweet in his pocket and gave it to Starros after telling her she was clever.[1]
In 232 BBY,[2] Sunvale was killed in an attack by the Nihil pirates. After his passing, Starros mentally recalled the time the Jedi Master had given her a sour berry sweet, noting she had liked Sunvale.[1]

A sour berry sweet was mentioned in the 2021 junior novel The High Republic: A Test of Courage, written by Justina Ireland and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[3]
