"Son of a bantha" was an insult used in the galaxy. While tracking Han Solo through space, Sana Starros muttered under her breath, calling him a "sorry son of a bantha."[1] Doctor Aphra referred to Tase Somer as a "shady son of a bantha,"[2] and Solo once shouted at Hondo Ohnaka, calling him as a "son of a bantha."[3]

Behind the scenes

"Son of a bantha"[1] is similar to the real-world vulgar slang phrase "son of a bitch."[4]
