- "I knew I was different from my family. The Jedi saw how special I was."
- ―Sol
The Force-sensitive human Sol[1]—born around 180 BBY[2]—was a part of a family before joining the Jedi Order to be trained as a Jedi[1] around 176 BBY,[2] at the age of four years old, by which time he was aware of being different from the family due to his ability to wield the Force.[1]
By 148 BBY,[3] Sol had ascended to the rank of Jedi Knight.[4] During a mission to the planet Brendok, Sol and Jedi Master Indara tested the twins Mae-ho and Verosha Aniseya for their ability to use the Force. While testing Verosha, Sol told her that he had known that he was different from his family, which the Jedi recognized. He also confided in Aniseya that he was scared to leave his family, but added that after joining the Order he discovered there were other children in it.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sol's family was mentioned in "Destiny,"[1] the third episode of the live-action Disney+ series The Acolyte, which released on June 11, 2024.[4]
