Slyyygs were large carnivorous[2] snail-like[3] gastropods found in the forests of the planet Kashyyyk. They were simple minded and displayed no apparent signs of intelligence or emotions, only continuously hunting for food. They would often hang from tree branches and would let themselves fall on the floor below to attack.[4] They could emit a toxic sludge, which they could use to attack. Slyyyg had a long soft yellow body without any limbs with a slightly upright head at the front. On it's head it had two black and yellow horn-like appendages leading to their red-colored eyes and a mouth.[2]
Behind the scenes
THe slyyyg were created for the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment.[2] Concept art of the creatures was done by Amy Fry and depicted them in different colors, with and without the horns, different eye stalks and different-sized mouths, with one design having a mouth going down most of the creature's underside.[4]
