The slug-beetle was a species of small[4] blue, winged beetle that lived on the planets Naboo[2] and Tatooine.[3] On Naboo, they lived exclusively amongst the roots of the perlote tree, which grew only in the world's eastern swamps. Gungans could eat the insects whole, and they were a favorite snack of Senator Jar Jar Binks.[2]
