An underground slidewalk on Metalorn
A slidewalk or slideway was a form of transportation, essentially a moving sidewalk. They were automated means of transportation on planets such as Metalorn. Users stood on the slidewalk and it moved them quickly to a different position. Slidewalks were equipped with automated programs which provided vocal instructions. A slightly more upscale variant of the slidewalk was the beltway, which featured seats on the moving platform. They used laminar in their construction.
