Automated sidewalk

An automated sidewalk, also known as a mobile sidewalk or a moving sidewalk, was a mobile walkway that was used to transport pedestrians across a horizontal plane. Because the New Republic senatorial complex was a vast building, it contained such walkways to help people travel from one part of the complex to another more easily.^[1]
