"Short Negotiations" is a canon short story that appears in The Prequel Trilogy Stories. It was written by Andy Schmidt.[1] It adapts the events of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace from the arrival of Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Naboo system until they escape the Trade Federation ship on landing craft.
