The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A native language was spoken by members of the Shistavanen species. The language consisted of various barks, growls, and snarls, and as such was difficult for individuals of other species to replicate accurately. The Shistavanens, distrusting outsiders, were unbothered by others' inability to speak their language, but grudgingly tolerated using Galactic Basic Standard to communicate with outsiders, both on and off of their homeworld.[1]
