Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

During the Republic Era, a Galactic Republic Senate Guard committee was tasked with the overseeing of the Galactic Senate's Senate Guard. The Captain of the Guard answered to the committee, while the committee itself was advised by members of the Republic's Judicial Department.[1]
