Sember's room was the living quarters of Jedi Master Sember Vey in the Jedi Order's Jedi Temple on the Core Worlds planet by 22 BBY.
Description
Sember's room was the living quarters of human Jedi Master Sember Vey in the Jedi Order's Jedi Temple on[1] the Core Worlds planet[2] Coruscant. The room featured stone floors, covered with a simple rug, a neatly made humble bed, and a plain wardrobe, with two drawers and hangers. The hangers held clean cloaks, leggings, and tunics. The top drawer contained Vey's undergarments while the bottom drawer contained warmer clothing—gloves, hats, and scarves—for cold climates. A lightsaber that once belonged to the Pkorian Feyra Akaris—Vey's friend—resided in the back of the bottom drawer. It was wrapped in a crocheted wool scarf, whose color matched that of the cochukka sheep on Akaris' homeworld, Pkori.[1]
History
Sember's rooom was located in the Coruscant Jedi Temple.
By 22 BBY,[3] Vey's Jedi Padawan, the Pkorian Iskar Akaris, had visited the room fewer than six times, and never felt welcomed. In 22 BBY, the morning after the Vey's death at the First Battle of Geonosis, Akaris was informed it was her duty to clean out Vey's living quarters, an exercise to help the Padawan let go of their master, and given a storage chest to assist. When Akaris entered the room, she felt strange in the empty and silent room without knocking. The Padawan removed the clothing from the hangers and placed each item in her chest after folding them.[1]
She next emptied the top drawer, though she felt uncomfortable handling her master's undergarments, as Vey had been a private person. After finishing the drawer, Akaris moved on to the bottom drawer. As she removed the cold weather clothing she was reminded of Vey's hobby of crocheting and gained a desire to keep something to remember Vey. She then found the bundled lightsaber in the back of the drawer. Curiously, she unwrapped the object to find a lightsaber with an extra wide hilt, perfect for her long fingers, as it unknowingly to her belonged to her mother.[1]
Akaris, having never met and known of anyone like her and unaware of her species, felt a connection to the lightsaber. She ignited it and discovered it's yellow blade. She felt the saber was special and meant to be hers. Akaris found no other items of interest in the room.[1]
